The 201-room Nora Hotel opened Oct. 19 on North Railroad Avenue with Pastis and Jack's Bar. The rooftop is still to come. Hours, parking and valet rates.

The Nora Hotel opened Monday, Oct. 19, at 1135 North Railroad Avenue in the Nora District, north of downtown West Palm Beach. Pastis, a French brasserie, and Jack’s Bar opened with it.

The hotel calls itself a 201-key boutique property anchoring the district. The Nora District listed the opening as its feature event for Oct. 19.

Who is behind it

The hotel is BD Hotels’ first venture outside Manhattan, according to the Nora District’s hotel page. It was developed with hotelier Sean MacPherson. Stantec designed the building and Gachot Studios the interiors. The district says the design draws on Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival styles.

The hotel is listed with Leading Hotels of the World.

What is open now

  • Pastis, the brasserie from Stephen Starr’s STARR Restaurants. The Nora District says it is the fifth Pastis, after the original in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District and a Miami location that opened in 2023.
  • Jack’s Bar, the lobby bar. The hotel describes it as a nod to the “historic glamour and industrial grit” of the neighborhood.
  • Pastis Privé, the hotel’s private event space, which sits alongside the restaurant.
  • Sisley Spa, with four treatment rooms and a steam room, open daily. Massages and treatments need a reservation. West Palm Beach is the only Florida location on Sisley Spa’s list of spas, alongside New York, Marina del Rey, California, and Scottsdale, Arizona.

What is still to come

The rooftop is not open yet. Its restaurant, Lillys, says it is “opening soon” and has given no date. The district says the rooftop will have two bars, private cabanas and a pool.

Pastis hours and prices

Pastis West Palm is at 1115 North Railroad Avenue, part of the hotel. For now it lists dinner hours only:

Days Hours
Sunday to Wednesday 5 to 10 p.m.
Thursday to Saturday 5 to 11 p.m.

The restaurant says its menu will be served at breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch and dinner. Its posted dinner menu includes onion soup for $21, the cheeseburger for $33 and steak frites from $68. Reservations are at (561) 205-9900 or through the restaurant’s site.

What it means for you

Parking is the practical question. The Nora District’s parking page lists these options:

  • Hotel valet: $10 until 6 p.m. and $15 after 6 p.m. The hotel’s valet stands run 24 hours a day.
  • North lot, at 11th Street and Spruce Avenue, just north of the hotel (ParkMobile zone 1938): $3 for the first hour, then $2 more for each hour, up to $25 for 12 hours.
  • Premium lot, between Eighth and 10th streets (ParkMobile zone 1937): $3 for one hour, $8 for two, $15 for three and $20 for four. Four hours is the limit.

All district lots are paid through the ParkMobile app, and the district says sessions must be started on arrival to avoid citations.

About the Nora District

The district covers 40 acres along North Railroad Avenue, according to its own history page. It is built around restored 1920s warehouses and new buildings. NDT Development, Place Projects and Wheelock Street Capital lead it, in partnership with the city of West Palm Beach.
