It also lets you book an optional 15-minute appointment to skip the line through its appointment system. Early voting sites use ExpressVote equipment, and you can drop off a completed mail ballot at any site during early voting hours.

Registering

The deadline to register for the Nov. 3 election was Oct. 5. You can still register, or update your address or name, for later elections at the state’s RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov site or in person at the Supervisor of Elections’ main office, 4301 Cherry Road. The registration deadline for the city’s March 2027 election is Feb. 8, 2027, according to the City Clerk.

Voting by mail

From the Division of Elections’ vote-by-mail page:

  • Ask the Supervisor of Elections for a ballot by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. You need your Florida driver’s license or ID number, or the last four digits of your Social Security number.
  • Your voted ballot must be received by 7 p.m. on Election Day. A postmark does not count.
  • Drop it at an early voting site during early voting hours, or at a Supervisor of Elections office.
  • Check your ballot’s status with the state’s vote-by-mail lookup.

What to bring

The Supervisor of Elections asks for one or two forms of current ID that together show your photo and signature. Accepted photo IDs include:

  • Debit or credit card
  • Military, student, retirement center or neighborhood association ID
  • Public assistance ID or Veteran Health ID card
  • Concealed weapon license

If you forget your ID you can still vote, but on a provisional ballot that the county’s Canvassing Board later reviews.

On the Nov. 3 ballot

Your sample ballot is on the Supervisor of Elections’ website. Two items touch every West Palm Beach property owner:

  • The school district’s 1-mill operating levy, which would continue from July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2031. The ballot question is on the district’s referendum page.
