Inside West Palm Beach’s city limits, most of the ice cream and dessert shops are downtown, at The Square on Rosemary Avenue and on Clematis Street. Others are at NORA on North Railroad Avenue and on South Dixie Highway.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside West Palm Beach’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 10, 2026. We added places from the Downtown Development Authority’s dining directory, The Square’s directory and the state’s restaurant license records, and we checked every address against the U.S. Census Bureau’s geocoder and the city boundary. Where hours come from The Square’s directory instead of the place’s own site, we say so. Dairy Queen on South Dixie Highway and Peachwave on Clematis Street are licensed in the city, but their sites refused our requests on Oct. 10, so we could not check their hours; they are left out until we can. Two OpenStreetMap entries, for a closed salad buffet chain and a salad counter, are not dessert places and are not here. The list is alphabetical. 16 Handles on South Dixie Highway serves 16 flavors of frozen yogurt, ice cream and sorbet, with indoor and outdoor seating and a hand-painted mural, its page says. The state license record lists it as a seated shop.

The Cheesecake Factory at The Square is a full-menu restaurant with more than 200 dishes and 50 cheesecakes and desserts, The Square’s directory says. It is on this list for the desserts.

Frost Ice Cream is on South Dixie Highway south of downtown. Its web address no longer leads to a site; the state license record lists it as a seated shop, and the phone comes from that record.

The Salty Donut calls its shop at The Square its first in West Palm Beach, with a beachside cafe look, murals and custom furniture, serving doughnuts and coffee.

Sloan’s on Clematis Street is one of the company’s two downtown ice cream shops. Its site lists delivery through Uber Eats.

Sloan’s at The Square lists delivery through Uber Eats and DoorDash. Both shops share the company’s site with its store in Boca Raton’s Mizner Park.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is at NORA, north of downtown. Its scoop shop serves the full menu of its ice cream and vegan ice cream, chocolate chip cookies, cookie sandwiches, sundaes, milkshakes and pints to go, with local delivery and pickup.
