Breakfast and coffee in West Palm Beach: Clematis, The Square, more

Inside West Palm Beach’s city limits, coffee shops cluster on Clematis Street and around The Square (the former CityPlace) on Rosemary Avenue. Bagel shops sit on South Dixie Highway and Fern Street, and the two 24-hour breakfast chains are out on Belvedere Road and Okeechobee Boulevard.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside West Palm Beach’s city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 10, 2026. We added places from the Downtown Development Authority’s dining directory, The Square’s directory and the state’s restaurant license records, and we checked every address against the U.S. Census Bureau’s geocoder and the city boundary. Where hours come from The Square’s directory instead of the place’s own site, we say so. Dunkin’, First Watch and most Starbucks location pages would not load for us on Oct. 10, and H&H Bagels’ site has no page for its North Railroad Avenue store, so those are left out until we can check their hours. Blue Mountain Coffee House on Clematis Street serves Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee from a single family estate, its site says, and lists catering and private events.

Carmela Coffee has two West Palm Beach shops, on Clematis Street since 2024 and at Village Commons since 2023, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch and coffee. Its site does not post hours or a phone for the Clematis shop; the Village Commons phone is from the state license record.

Crema Gourmet is an espresso bar from a Miami company, with free Wi-Fi, outlets and laptop seating at every location, its site says.

Denny’s on Okeechobee Boulevard is the chain’s only West Palm Beach location on its site, listed as open 24 hours.

Dolce Cafe is a cafe on North Olive Avenue listed in the Downtown Development Authority’s directory. It has no website; the state license record lists it as a seated restaurant.

IHOP on Belvedere Road is listed as open 24 hours for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night, with pancakes as its specialty.

Johan’s Joe is a Swedish coffee shop and cafe south of downtown serving “fika,” breakfast plates, open-faced sandwiches, smoked salmon and scratch-made pastries, plus a meal-prep service.

Makeb’s Bagels bakes bagels early each morning, its site says, and adds omelets, breakfast sandwiches and lunch, with pickup, delivery and catering. One store is downtown on South Dixie Highway; the second is farther south, near Forest Hill Boulevard.

Maman is a cafe at The Square with vintage decor, serving morning coffee, brunch and afternoon sweets, with pickup, delivery and indoor and outdoor dining, its page says.

PopUp Bagels at The Square bakes bagels to order, The Square’s directory says.

Pumphouse Coffee roasts its own coffee. The Pouratorium on Clare Avenue is its cafe, roastery and lab, with scratch-made food, beer and wine; the Banyan Boulevard cafe has a walk-up outdoor bar and a patio.

Salento Coffee is a Colombian coffee shop next to the library on Clematis Street, serving Colombian coffee, arepas, pressed sandwiches and fruit smoothies.

Sour Seed Bagels is a bagel shop on Fern Street, closed Mondays.

Starbucks at The Square opens at 5:30 a.m. on weekdays, The Square’s directory says.

Subculture Coffee is a coffee shop and roaster on the 500 block of Clematis Street with other stores in Palm Beach County. Its site points to map listings for hours; the phone is from the state license record.
