Where it is

El Cid lies east of Dixie Highway, with Flamingo Park across the highway to the west and the Prospect Park and Southland Park historic neighborhoods to the south on the city’s map. Its eastern edge is Flagler Drive and the lagoon. Flamingo Park has its own page.

Apartment buildings of 5 units or more 3

Half of the single-family houses were built in 1940 or earlier, according to the parcel records, which date them from 1910 to 2024. About 66% of the home parcels (175) carry a homestead exemption, the Property Appraiser’s mark of a full-time owner’s residence. Exterior work in a local historic district goes through the city’s historic preservation review; see our permits and zoning guide.
