The South Florida Fair returns to the South Florida Fairgrounds, 9067 Southern Blvd., in January 2027, but the fair has not posted its full 2027 dates yet. Its own competition pages already schedule fair events for Saturday, Jan. 16, Sunday, Jan. 17, and Sunday, Jan. 24, 2027. The 2026 fair ran 17 days, Friday, Jan. 16, to Sunday, Feb. 1. When is the 2027 fair?

The fair’s organizer, South Florida Fair & Palm Beach County Expositions Inc., had not published opening and closing dates for 2027 on Oct. 10. Three of its 2027 competition pages give dates:

From the fair’s hours and directions page, which still showed the 2026 schedule on Oct. 10:

The midway opened an hour after the gates. Buildings closed at 10 p.m. Ride hours ran later than building hours and varied by night.

Tickets

Advance discount admission tickets go on sale on the fair’s ticket page “when they become available,” the fair says. They were not on sale for 2027 on Oct. 10, and the fair had not published 2027 gate prices. Children 1 and under get in free to the fairgrounds’ other ticketed events this fall; check the ticket page for the fair’s own rule.

Parking and directions

In 2026, general parking was $15 and premium parking $25, all first come, first served. Lots opened at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and Martin Luther King Jr. Day and at 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.

The fairgrounds are on Southern Boulevard, 1.5 miles west of Florida’s Turnpike and 1 mile east of U.S. 441/State Road 7. The fair’s directions:

  • Interstate 95, southbound: Exit 68, Southern Boulevard. Go west about 7 miles, turn right on Fairgrounds Road and enter Gate 3 or Gate 12.
  • Interstate 95, northbound: Exit 69, Belvedere Road. Go west about 7 miles to Sansbury’s Way, turn left and go south about a third of a mile to Gate 3.
  • Florida’s Turnpike, southbound: Exit 97, Southern Boulevard. Go west 1.5 miles, turn right on Fairgrounds Road and enter Gate 12.
  • Florida’s Turnpike, northbound: Exit 99, Okeechobee Boulevard. Go west 1.5 miles, turn left on Sansbury’s Way and go south about 1 mile to Gate 3.

What is at the fair

Beyond the midway and fair food, the fair runs a full program of contests and shows, listed on its get involved pages:

  • Competitions: crafts and specialty arts, the culinary competition, the Miss South Florida Fair and Miss Palm Beach County scholarship competition, a classic rock tribute band competition, a drumline competition, a talent showdown, the fiddle contest and a student and professional landscape contest.
  • Livestock: the Kubota AGZone hosts livestock shows and a youth market auction, with a 2027 premium book for exhibitors.
  • Yesteryear Village: the fairgrounds’ village, home to the fiddle contest’s pavilion.
  • Kids’ Mile: a 12-week program, endorsed by the School District of Palm Beach County, in which children run about 2 miles a week and finish the last mile of a marathon at the fair.
