Ceremonies

South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, is the VA national cemetery in Palm Beach County. It is open daily from sunrise to sunset, the VA says. Its 2026 Memorial Day ceremony drew hundreds of people, with an Army Ranger veteran as keynote speaker, WFLX reported. Many visitors stay afterward to visit family members’ graves.

Woodlawn Cemetery, 1301 S. Dixie Highway, is the city’s own historic cemetery, established by Henry Flagler in 1904 and deeded to the city in 1914. Its gate is open 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every day, holidays included, according to the City Clerk’s page. To find a grave, call the City Clerk’s Office at 561-822-1210 on a weekday before the holiday.
