Parking and getting there

For the 2025-26 season, the city made parking free during market hours at the City Center Garage (401 Banyan Blvd.), the Clematis Street Garage (enter at 500 Banyan Blvd.) and the Sapodilla City Garage (640 Clematis St.). The Banyan Garage (200 Banyan Blvd.) and Evernia Garage (333 Evernia St.), closest to the market, charged the city’s weekend flat rate. Check the city’s page for this season before you go.

  • Free rides: the city’s Ride West Palm Beach service, through the Circuit app, runs from the parking garages.

A little history

Former Mayor Nancy Graham started the market after visiting public markets in Europe. The first West Palm Beach GreenMarket opened in November 1995 with 13 vendors in the parking lot of the old City Hall, the first weekly public farmers market in Palm Beach County, according to the city’s history of the market. It moved to the new waterfront in October 2010. It won the USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice poll for best farmers market in the U.S. three years running, and placed second in 2024 and 2025.

West Palm Beach Antique and Flea (Saturdays)

Not a farmers market, but on the same block the same morning: the family-run West Palm Beach Antique and Flea sets up along the 300 and 400 blocks of Clematis Street every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., October through May, with antiques, collectibles and vintage goods.

The Gardens GreenMarket (Sundays, Palm Beach Gardens)

For a Sunday market, Palm Beach Gardens, about eight miles north, runs The Gardens GreenMarket every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine, at the City Hall Municipal Campus, 10500 N. Military Trail. Its main season starts the first Sunday in October. Pets are not allowed; there is no ATM, according to the city’s market information page.

SNAP, EBT and finding other markets

The city’s GreenMarket pages do not mention SNAP or EBT. Ask individual vendors, or search the USDA’s SNAP retailer locator, which lists farmers markets and farm stands that accept benefits. The USDA’s National Farmers Market Directory lists markets by ZIP code.

What this means for you
